Yati Narsinghanand arrested for misogyny, not hate speech at Haridwar Dharam Sansad, says Police

He will be remanded for the hate speech case too, the procedure is on. We will include the hate speech case details also in the remand application,” the police instructed NDTV earlier Sunday.

Sources told NDTV the case towards Narsinghanand is predicated on a criticism filed earlier this month for his objectionable and derogatory remarks towards girls of different religions. The FIR invokes hate speech fees, along with fees of insulting girls, as per the report.

Narsinghanand, the controversial priest of Dasna temple in Ghaziabad, had organised the ‘Dharma Sansad’ occasion in Haridwar from 17 to 19 December the place alleged hate speeches towards Muslims have been delivered.
