Indian Railways is setting up the tallest railway bridge of the world in Manipur at 141 metres surpassing the present report of 139 metre Mala-Rijeka viaduct, at Montenegro in Europe. The bridge is a part of a brand new broad gauge line being constructed to attach the northeastern state with the remainder of the nation and the pillars have already been constructed.

“With the completion of the project the 111 km of distance will be covered in 2-2.5 hrs,” ANI quoted Sandeep Sharma, chief engineer of the venture, as saying.

According to stories, the full size of the bridge will likely be 703 metre. The piers of the bridge is being constructed utilizing hydraulic augers. The tall piers wanted specifically designed ‘slip-form technique’ to make sure environment friendly and continuous development.
