As on each Republic Day, each flypast was divided into two blocks: the primary was together with the parade and the second after the parade. In the primary block, there have been three formations: the ”Nishan” formation comprising 4 Mi17V5 plane that carried the National Flag and logos of all three providers. It was adopted by the ”Dhruv” formation by 4 helicopters of Army Aviation Corps. The final was the ”Rudra” formation, comprising a single Dakota plane flanked by two Mi17V5 helicopters.

The second block of the flypast consisted of 9 formations: Sudarshan, Rakshak, Bhim, Netra, Garuda, Eklavya, Trinetra, Vijay and Brahmastra. The IAF showcased fashions of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas and indigenously developed anti-tank guided missile Dhruvastra in the course of the Republic Day parade. Indigenously constructed next-generation anti-radiation missile Rudram and anti-tank guided missile Dhruvastra have been displayed on the LCA and the LCH on the tableaux. Sukhoi-30Mki was displayed with indigenously developed Astra and Brahmos missiles.
