US Executes First Woman On Federal Death Row In 7 Decades

Lisa Montgomery’s lawyer, in scathing remarks, referred to as the pending execution, “vicious, unlawful”.


The United States carried out the primary federal execution of a girl in nearly seven a long time Wednesday, the US Justice Department mentioned.

“Lisa Montgomery, 52, was executed at the U.S. Penitentiary Terre Haute in accordance with the capital sentence unanimously recommended by a federal jury and imposed by the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri in 2007,” it mentioned in an announcement.
