Sirisha Bandla Becomes Third Indian-Origin Woman To Fly Into Space

Aeronautical engineer Sirisha Bandla on Sunday turned the third Indian-origin girl to fly into house when she joined British billionaire Richard Branson on Virgin Galactic’s first totally crewed suborbital check flight from New Mexico.

Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity, because the spaceplane is named, took off for the 1.5-hour mission above New Mexico following a 90-minute delay attributable to unhealthy climate.

Ms Bandla moved to the US when she was 4-year-old and graduated with a Bachelor of Science diploma from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Purdue University in 2011. She completed her Master of Business Administration diploma from George Washington University in 2015.

Ms Bandla wished to be an astronaut for the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). However, her poor eyesight meant she couldn’t meet the necessities to turn out to be a pilot or an astronaut.

When she was at Purdue University, a professor instructed her about a chance within the subject of economic house flights.
