Security Forces ‘Rescue’ Youth from Al-Badr Ranks in J&K’s Pulwama

Srinagar: Security forces have been in a position to rescue a youth from the ranks of the proscribed Al-Badr terror outfit in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police stated on Sunday. “After hectic efforts, police and security forces, with the help of parents, have been able to rescue one more terrorist, who had joined proscribed outfit Al-Badr sometime back,” a police official stated.

However, the id of the youth has been stored a secret so as to guarantee safety. The official stated the endeavour of the police has been to avoid wasting lives and properties throughout confrontation or whereas coping with militancy.

Several militants have laid down their arms in Kashmir since 2017 when police introduced that they’ll settle for supply to give up of native militants even throughout ongoing encounters. Most of those militants surrendered after appeals by their households to shun the trail of violence and return residence.
