Samsung Chief Jailed For 2.5 Years Over Corruption Scandal

South Korea’s Seoul High Court sentenced Samsung Electronics vice chairman Jay Y. Lee to a two-and-a-half 12 months jail time period, the courtroom mentioned on Monday.

Lee, 52, was convicted of bribing an affiliate of former President Park Geun-hye and jailed in 2017, however the sentence was diminished and suspended on enchantment. The Supreme Court then despatched the case again to the Seoul High Court, which dominated on Monday.
