Fresh violence broke out on the Assam-Mizoram border in the present day – two days after Union house minister Amit Shah met all Chief Ministers of the northeast at Shillong. There have been studies of firing from the border areas and assaults on authorities autos.

Tweeting a video of the violence the place folks armed with sticks might be seen, Chief Minster Zoramthanga sought Mr Shah’s intervention, saying it “needs to be stopped right now”.
