Heavy rains and flooding battered the jap coast of South Africa, killing no less than 259 folks whereas damaging properties and destroying roads.

The flooding hit the province of KwaZulu-Natal, which incorporates the coastal metropolis of Durban. Roads cracked and gave solution to deep fissures. An enormous stack of transport containers collapsed into muddy waters. A bridge was swept away, leaving folks stranded on both facet.

KwaZulu-Natal has skilled excessive rainfall since Monday. In an announcement posted to Facebook, the provincial authorities known as it “one of the worst weather storms in the history of our country.”

Teams have been working to evacuate areas that skilled “mudslides, flooding and structural collapses of buildings and roads,” Sipho Hlomuka, a member of the Executive Council for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal, stated on Twitter.
