Pakistan Plans Reducing International Flights to 20% as Covid-19 Cases Surge

Pakistan plans to cut back the variety of inbound worldwide flights to 20% of present numbers to curb rising COVID-19 circumstances, the official physique overseeing the nation’s pandemic response stated on Saturday.

“In view of prevailing world and regional illness tendencies, Pakistan has determined to cut back inbound worldwide journey from 5 May to 20th May,” stated the National Command Operation Center (NCOC), which oversees the federal government’s pandemic response, on Twitter.

It was not instantly clear which routes and air carriers could be affected. The NCOC added the choice could be reviewed on May 18.
