Only A Few Devotees Witness ‘Cauvery Teerthodbhava Ritual At Talacauvery

The district administration had imposed restrictions for the entry of individuals due to Covid. The theerthodbhava rituals have been led by monks Gopalakrishna Achar and Prashanth Achar.

Kodagu district in-charge minister V Somanna, MLA Appachu Ranjan, MLC Sunil Subramani, Veena Achaiah, Deputy Commissioner Annies Ok Joy and SP Kshama Mishra have been amongst different current. Some children, dressed within the conventional Kodava apparel, walked as much as Talacauvery from close by Bhagamandala.

However they have been prevented from coming into the premises by police because the district administration had laid down restrictions. Achaiah took objection to this, as did Ranjan, who demanded that the youth be let in.

Following the intervention of in-charge minister V Somanna the youths have been allowed inside to witness the holy occasion.
