Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson will bear a scan after sustaining a hamstring harm in Friday’s 2-Zero defeat by Southampton, supervisor Steve Bruce mentioned.
Wilson, who’s Newcastle’s prime scorer this season with six targets in eight Premier League video games, limped off shortly earlier than full-time and was changed by Andy Carroll.
“It’s a hamstring injury and we don’t know how bad it is yet,” Bruce mentioned of the 28-year-old England striker. “He needs a scan. We hope that it’s not too bad but we’ll see.”
Winger Ryan Fraser, who missed the sport in opposition to Southampton as a result of a hamstring drawback, can also be set for an prolonged spell on the sidelines.
“Unfortunately, he came into the treatment room and wasn’t happy. We scanned it and revealed a small tear. He won’t make the internationals (for Scotland),” Bruce added.
Newcastle who’re 11th within the Premier League, will face Chelsea on Nov. 21 on their return to motion after the worldwide break.
