New Gujarat Cabinet To Take Oath Today Amid Dissent Over Sackings

Gujarat: Vijay Rupani resigned with out protest and Bhupendra Patel took cost

New Delhi:

The BJP had anticipated the change of guard in Gujarat to be easy and all indications have been that was the way it was going to be with the Chief Minister’s swearing-in going off and not using a hiccup. Vijay Rupani resigned with out protest and Bhupendra Patel took cost with none opposition aside from just a few murmurs of dissent from the previous Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, who had anticipated the put up would come to him.

However, the oath ceremony of the brand new cupboard of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel — slated to be held on Wednesday — was deferred on the final minute after elaborate preparations have been made on the Governor’s home and enormous hoardings have been put up. Sources indicated that variations over the brand new council of ministers are the explanation for the sudden rescheduling.

The oath ceremony will happen this afternoon at 1:30 on the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar. The Chief Minister’s Office tweeted on Wednesday saying, “The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet of CM Shri  @Bhupendrapbjp will take place tomorrow, September 16, 2021 at 1.30 pm at Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar.”

Sources have indicated that a number of senior ministers who worry they’re being dropped aren’t prepared to provide in. And amongst them is Nitin Patel who’s preventing to maintain his place as Deputy Chief Minister.

However, sources point out that possibilities of a revolt are minimal as the whole train is being engineered by Amit Shah on the insistence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after stories that successful in Gujarat may turn into a problem if Vijay Rupani had continued as Chief Minister.

“Even the top leaders will have to accept whatever the leadership says because of the stature of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah and no politician, especially in the BJP in Gujarat, can openly challenge the calls they take,” an MLA, asking to not be named, informed NDTV.

Home Minister Amit Shah had held a sequence of conferences after the swearing-in ceremony of Bhupendra Patel on Monday to kind out the problems over the council of ministers and the brand new cupboard. Sources say at present’s swearing-in goes to be the results of these deliberations and that is the setting in movement of the plans for 2022.
