Man Who Married Dalit Woman Thrashed With Sticks In Gurgaon, Dies

A 28-year-old man in Gurgaon died of accidents after he was thrashed with sticks and lathis allegedly by a bunch of males on Sunday.

The man’s brother alleged that he had been receiving threats ever since he married a Dalit lady 5 months in the past.

On Sunday, the person and his spouse had gone to fulfill the lady’s mother and father when he was assaulted within the village of Badshahpur in Gurgaon.

Five males have been arrested and circumstances of homicide have been filed towards them.

The sufferer, Akash, was returning house in an autorickshaw when the three-wheeler hit which one of many accused, Ajay, who was strolling on the highway.


“This led to an argument and a subsequent fight. Ajay called his friends and thrashed Akash and escaped. The accused were produced before court on Thursday and have been remanded in police custody,” the officer mentioned.

His brother alleged within the First Information Report (FIR) that younger males from the village had threatened him for marrying the lady from the Dalit lady. “Local boys upset with the inter-caste marriage had threatened my brother that they will not spare him if he enters the village,” mentioned Akash’s brother.

Akash is a member of a so-called higher caste neighborhood. Originally from Alwar in neighbouring Rajasthan, Akash and his spouse lived in Gurgaon’s Bhondsi.
