A serious fireplace broke out at a slum in Kolkata’s Bagbazar space on Wednesday night, police stated. At least twenty fireplace tenders have been pressed into service because the blaze engulfed a number of homes within the slum on Kshirode Vidyavinode Avenue beside the Bagbazar Women’s College close to Chitpore Lock Gate Bridge, based on experiences.

Blasts have been heard within the slum which police suspect to be of fuel cylinders on the homes on fireplace, officers stated. There have been no experiences of any casualty but, however the fires continued to unfold.

Wind from the adjoining Hooghly river and the fuel cylinders on the affected zone are making issues tough for firefighters, as per Information18 experiences.

“The reason for the fire is not known. The firemen are fighting it tooth and nail and hopefully, it will soon be under control,” a senior officer of the Kolkata Police stated. The fireplace in the course of the night rush hours led to an enormous site visitors snarl within the space, officers stated.
