The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday arrested the son-in-law of Maharashtra cupboard minister and NCP chief Nawab Malik in a medication case.
Sameer Khan, Mr Malik’s son-in-law, was known as for questioning on the NCB’s Ballard Estate workplace in South Mumbai within the morning.
Sameer Khan reached the workplace at 10 am and was arrested after a number of hours of questioning, an official of the central company stated.
He had been summoned by the company after it discovered an alleged on-line transaction of Rs 20,000 between him and one of many accused within the medicine case wherein British nationwide Karan Sajnani and two others have been arrested final week, sources stated.
The company on Tuesday arrested Ramkumar Tiwari, one of many homeowners of the well-known ‘Muchhad Paanwala’ store in Mumbai which is frequented by celebrities, in the identical case.
Last week, the NCB arrested three individuals together with Karan Sajnani and claimed to have seized 200 kg of medicine from Khar and Bandra areas.
The medicine included ganja, imported contraband like ”OG Kush” (a pressure of hashish indica), and curated marijuana, a few of which had been sourced from the US, an official stated.
