Palghar: A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his spouse after a quarrel in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, police stated on Monday. The incident happened at Vikramgad within the district on Saturday, they stated.

The 30-year-old sufferer had separated from her first husband and later married the accused, recognized as Ankush L Kakva, an official at Vikramgad police station stated. The accused had the suspicion that his spouse was having an affair with one other man and the couple used to have frequent fights over the problem, he stated.

They once more had a quarrel on Saturday following which the accused allegedly beat up and kicked his spouse. The lady was later rushed to a hospital in Jawhar space the place she died, the official stated. The police arrested the accused on Sunday and registered a case towards him underneath Indian Penal Code Section 302 (homicide), he addded.
