Maggots Found in Bedsores of Covid-19 Patient Post Discharge from Kerala Hosp, Health Minister Orders Probe

Maggots had been present in bedsores of a bedridden man, who was discharged from hospital after being cured of COVID-19, his household claimed following which Kerala well being minister Ok Ok Shailaja on Monday ordered aprobe. Shailaja requested the Medical Education Department director to look into the matter and file a report.

Relatives of 55-year-old Anilkumar had filed a criticism with the well being minister on Sunday night, saying when the well being division introduced him house, they discovered maggots wriggling in his bedsores. “The Director of the Department of Medical Education has been asked to probe the incident and file a report. We will ensure proper treatment for Anilkumar,” the minister stated in a press release.
