Bringing an ordinance to provide quota profit to the Maratha neighborhood is a authorized problem and the Maha Vikas Aghadi authorities will have a look into it, mentioned Maharashtra minister and state Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat on Monday.

His feedback come within the wake of NCP chief Sharad Pawar final week suggesting the ordinance route after the Supreme Court, on Wednesday, stayed the implementation of a 2018 legislation granting reservation to the Maratha neighborhood in schooling and jobs within the state.

“It is a legal issue. We will check it,” Mr Thorat instructed reporters, including the state authorities had approached the courtroom “well-prepared”.

The Supreme Court’s interim order of staying the implementation of the legislation is “incomprehensible”, he added.

“Our prayer was for referring the case to a larger bench, how come such an order was passed? Hence, we are a bit concerned,” he added.

He requested opposition events to not play politics on the difficulty and mentioned “we have to win and give justice to the community”.

He sidestepped a question on remarks made by actor Kangana Ranaut, solely stating “it’s not good to talk a lot about it.
