Kerala Governor Arif Muhammad Khan will be part of a sit in fasting protest on Wednesday to lift consciousness on girls security and towards dowry harassment in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Kerala Governor will be part of the protest by fasting from 8am to 4pm as we speak. The protest marketing campaign has been initiated by numerous Gandhian group.
As part of the marketing campaign, Arif Muhammad Khan launched a video message and mentioned that dowry is an evil. “Our beloved state of Kerala was in news recently for tragic death due to dowry. It is sad that this spector of dowry continues raise its ugly head in our state which has been globally acclaimed for variable social indicators like literacy and life expectancy,” the Governor mentioned.
“Mahatma Gandhi has mentioned, any younger males who makes dowry as a situation to marriage, discredits his schooling, nation and dishonors womanhood, he added.
The “sthreepaksha Keralam” initiative of the Government of Kerala additionally emphasizes the necessity to make sure the dignity of our lady by saying no to dowry and associated practices, he mentioned.
“I’m able to work as a volunteer and we should always create consciousness towards this. It needs to be made very clear to anybody who asks for dowry, that they that they aren’t considering continuing with the wedding proposal,” Khan added.
