J&Ok Amends Domicile Certificate Rules, Authorises Naib Tehsildar to Issue Certificates

The Jammu and Kashmir authorities has launched modification within the grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020, authorising Naib Tehsildar along with Tehsildar to difficulty certificates to PCR holders and their kids.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 309 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 15 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Decentralisation and Recruitment) Act, 2010, the government hereby makes the following amendment in the Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020,” a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) acknowledged on Saturday.






The modification in Rule 5, Clause 1 authorises each Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar to difficulty domicile certificates to Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) holders and their kids, whereas naming the Deputy Commissioner because the appellate authority.

The candidates of this class (PRC holders) shall have to connect PRC whereas their kids want to connect the PRC of the mother and father and beginning certificates issued by a reliable authority.
