Jharkhand Allows Places of Worship to Open, Announces Curbs on Durga Puja Celebrations

According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, the relaxations in opening the locations of worship have been introduced within the wake of the upcoming festive season.

The Jharkhand authorities on Thursday allowed locations of worship to open outdoors the containment zones within the state from October 8, whereas saying that Durga Puja will likely be permitted this yr solely at houses, temples and small pandals with out public participation. According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, the relaxations in opening the locations of worship have been introduced within the wake of the upcoming festive season.

However, no different relaxations have been introduced within the’Unlock-5′ notification, which can stay in pressure until October 31. The authorities restricted the peak of idols at Durga Puja pandals to four ft, and mentioned that no lighting or extravagant decorations could be allowed, as per the order.






It mentioned that the general public is not going to be allowed to customer take part locally puja pandals, which must be small in dimension. Separate tips will likely be issued for performing the rituals, it added.
