Veteran actress and BJP chief Jaya Prada on Wednesday lent assist to BJP Lok Sabha MP Ravi Kishan over his remarks about drug use in Bollywood and stated Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan was politicising the problem.
“I assist Ravi Kishan’s assertion as a matter of defending the youth from medication is necessary to me. We want to boost our voice in opposition to the usage of medication and should save our youth. I respect Jaya ji‘s sentiment on this regard however this isn’t a subject that must be politicised. She didn’t have the correct to make such statements,” Ms Prada informed ANI.
She additional stated, “Why is Jaya ji taking this challenge so personally? She must be talking about saving the youth in order that one other case like Sushant’s doesn’t happen. He has left us and the entire nation needs justice for him.”
This comes after Samajwadi Party MP on Tuesday gave a zero hour discover within the Upper House over an alleged conspiracy to defame the movie trade.
Without straight naming Ravi Kishan, Jaya Bachchan had acknowledged that she was “ashamed that yesterday one of our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it.”
