Israel Fires at South Lebanon in Response to Rocket Launches: Military

Israel fired artillery at targets in Lebanon on Wednesday after 4 rockets have been launched in the direction of Israel from Lebanese territory, the Israeli army mentioned.

Israel’s missile defences intercepted one of many projectiles and “the remainder most probably fell in open areas”, the army mentioned. The rockets brought on air raid sirens to blare within the northern Israeli metropolis of Haifa and areas to the east.

Security sources in Lebanon confirmed that 4 rockets had been launched in the direction of Israel from Seddiqine, a village within the area of Lebanon’s southern coastal metropolis of Tyre.

It was not instantly clear who had fired the rockets, and there have been no stories of injury on both facet.

It was the third incident of rocket fireplace from Lebanon since hostilities between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza flared up on May 10.
