Indian-American Climate Expert Bidisha Bhattacharyya Gets Key Post In US Agriculture Department

The Biden administration has appointed an Indian-American local weather and power knowledgeable, who spent three years deploying photo voltaic power options in rural India, to a key place within the agriculture division.

Bidisha Bhattacharyya on Monday was appointed as Senior Policy Advisor within the Farm Service Agency (FSA).

She was earlier posted as Director of Climate and Energy Policy on the Centre for American Progress.

Prior to becoming a member of American Progress, Ms Bhattacharyya was vp of Emerging Markets on the impact-investment agency Village Capital, the place she led a world staff throughout India, Mexico, and East Africa to put money into high-impact startups innovating to unravel issues throughout clear power deployment and monetary inclusion.
