India, Turkmenistan Review Bilateral Ties, Agree to Deepen Cooperation in UN & Multilateral Arena

India and Turkmenistan on Wednesday reviewed bilateral ties and agreed to boost cooperation within the UN and multilateral area. The 4th spherical of Foreign Office Consultations had been held between India and Turkmenistan via digital mode.

The Indian facet was led by Vikas Swarup, Secretary (West) within the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), whereas the Turkmenistan facet was led by its Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Hajiyev, the MEA stated in a press release. The consultations offered a chance to comprehensively assessment the varied features of bilateral relations, together with political, financial, commercials, defence, scientific, cultural, schooling and consular cooperation, it stated.

Both sides exchanged views on regional and worldwide problems with mutual curiosity and agreed to boost cooperation within the UN and multilateral area, the assertion stated. The talks had been held in a pleasant and cordial ambiance. It was agreed to carry the fifth spherical of Foreign Office Consultations at a mutually handy date, it stated.
