Hyderabad: BJP MP from Karnataka and the occasion’s youth wing president Tejasvi Surya allegedly trespassed on the Osmania University (OU) campus with out permission and a case was registered towards him and his supporters by the police.
He eliminated the barricades to enter the campus to pay respects to the martyrs of the Telangana motion. The incident occurred on Tuesday.
The case was registered underneath IPC part 447 (prison trespass) and underneath related provisions of the Hyderabad City Police Act based mostly on a grievance filed by OU authorities on Tuesday, a police official instructed PTI on Thursday.
The OU Registrar, within the grievance, accused the BJP chief of trespassing on the campus with out permission by eradicating the barricades and holding a gathering there, the official stated.
The MP had alleged that he was stopped by the police.
However, town police clarified that no such incident by the police or conflict with police occurred on the campus and stated the MP, alongside together with his supporters, went into the campus and carried out a gathering peacefully.
The varsity was the epicentre of protests for the separate state of Telangana.
