Hugues Fabrice Zango posted the longest ever indoor triple leap with a leap of 18.07 metres to develop into the primary athlete from Burkina Faso to set a world file.

Hugues Fabrice Zango turned the primary athlete from Burkina Faso to set a world file when he posted the longest ever indoor triple leap with a leap of 18.07 metres at an occasion in Aubiere in France on Saturday.

Zango, who gained bronze on the World Championships in 2019, added 15 centimetres to the earlier file, set by his personal coach, Frenchman Teddy Tamgho, in 2011.

The 27-year-old Zango began with a foul however warmed up with a leap of 17.33 metres earlier than steadily rising his greatest to 17.61m after which 17.70m.

With his last effort he floated past 18m to interrupt his personal earlier lifetime greatest by 30 centimetres.
