Haryana Farmers To Block Highways As Farm Bills Go To Rajya Sabha

The Haryana wing of farmers’ organisation Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) has stated it will block all main highways within the state for 3 hours – 12PM to 3PM – tomorrow as a part of its protest in opposition to the central authorities’s refusal to withdraw contentious farm sector payments, which the BJP claims will open the agri market, and profit small and marginal farmers.

As the BKU urged its members to dam all main highways amid continued protests outdoors the Ambala deputy commissioner’s workplace, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij appealed that farmers not block nationwide highways, and permit ambulances and the unwell to achieve hospitals amid the coronavirus pandemic.
