A army helicopter crashed Tuesday at an airport in Russia’s distant japanese Chukotka area, killing all 4 individuals on board, the governor mentioned.
The helicopter of the Russian defence ministry went down in the principle airport in Chukotka close to Anadyr, which has blended army and civilian use.
“There were three crew members and one technician on board. All four died,” governor Roman Kopin wrote on his Instagram account.
Russian businesses reported that it was a Mi-Eight helicopter which was doing a check flight after present process technical upkeep.
“The reason for the accident could be a technical fault with the helicopter,” TASS information company quoted a defence ministry assertion as saying.
Military investigators have been dispatched to the crash web site, it mentioned.
