The dialogue between the 2 Foreign Ministers got here after India and France exchanged views on the international secretary-level on regional and world problems with mutual curiosity.

Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Secretary General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Francois Delattre, through a video hyperlink on Monday mentioned the COVID-19 pandemic and reviewed the progress of their multi-faceted cooperation.

“Also agreed to address COVID-related challenges in health and aviation. Thanked him for the strong support in UNSC and look forward to working together,” he stated.

The dialogue between the 2 Foreign Ministers comes at a time the Indian and Chinese armies are locked in a bitter standoff in a number of areas in japanese Ladakh for the final seven weeks, and the stress escalated manifold after 20 Indian troopers have been killed in a violent conflict in Galwan Valley on June 15.
