Farmers’ Protest: Air India Offers Free Rescheduling of Flights for Affected Passengers

New Delhi: Air India has stated passengers affected resulting from visitors disruption on Thursday amid closure of the borders of the nationwide capital area (NCR) will probably be allowed to reschedule their flights without spending a dime. People coming to the nationwide capital from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh confronted visitors snarls at a number of border crossings because the Delhi Police intensified car checking in view of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march by farmers from Punjab towards the Centre’s farm legal guidelines.

“In view of traffic disruption in NCR region due to closure of Delhi borders, we are allowing no-show waiver & one free reschedule to passengers who couldn’t report for their flights,” Air India stated on Twitter. “Waiver will be valid for flights scheduled out of Delhi airport only for 26th Nov ’20,” it added.

Senior police officers stated heavy deployment was made on the Faridabad, Singhu and Gurgaon border crossings with Haryana and car checking was intensified as a precautionary measure in view of the protest march. Farmers from Punjab have been scheduled to succeed in Delhi by means of 5 highways connecting town as a part of their march.
