Sultanpur: A 55-year-old farmer chief was shot useless by an unidentified individual right here on Saturday at a market in Kadipur space right here, police stated.

Ram Ashish Verma, a resident of Banke village, was sitting on a bike outdoors his son’s store when an unidentified individual opened fireplace at him killing him on the spot, they stated.

Superintendent of Police Vipin Mishra stated the deceased was a member of a farmers’ union and was engaged in a land dispute with just a few individuals police recognized as Dharmaraj Pal, Shyam Bahadur Verma, Amar Bahadur Verma and Ramraj Verma.

The deceased had returned to the store after representing the dispute case on the SDM court docket in Jaisinghpur, Mishra stated.
