New Delhi: The Congress on Monday requested states beneath its rule to enact legislations to bypass the three Central farm-related legal guidelines which have triggered protests by farmers in some elements of the nation.

The Congress has strongly opposed the three Central legislations which have been signed into legal guidelines by President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday.

“Congress President has advised the Congress-ruled states to explore the possibilities to pass laws in their respective states under Article 254(2) of the Constitution which allows the state legislatures to pass a law to negate the anti-agriculture Central laws encroaching upon State’s jurisdiction under the Constitution,” the social gathering stated in an announcement.
