The Pentagon on Thursday introduced that the US army would now not bar individuals who had been hospitalized with COVID-19 from serving in its ranks.

Defense Department personnel head Matthew Donovan stated he had “rescinded” guidelines on the matter, which the army had put in place in early May out of concern over long-term respiratory injury from the illness.

“There was some interim and draft guidance… that I rescinded,” Donovan informed reporters throughout a press convention.
