A 15-year-old boy arrested for a petty theft died in a police station on Thursday evening in West Bengal’s Birbhum district. In its report the police stated, hours after his arrest yesterday, he went to the bathroom and died by suicide.

The BJP, which claimed the boy and his household had been get together supporters, stated he had been tortured to loss of life in police custody and blocked National Highway 14 for three hours on Friday at Mallarpur.

Yesterday, the BJP had referred to as a 12-hour bandh at Bagnan in Howrah district after the loss of life of Kinkar Majhi, a celebration employee shot by an alleged Trinamool employee in September. Angry BJP staff had ransacked the home of the accused within the case.
