Army Jawan Killed in Firing by Pakistan alongside LoC in J&K’s Rajouri District

An Indian Army jawan was killed when Pakistan opened heavy fireplace on ahead posts alongside the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Saturday, a defence spokesperson stated.

He stated the Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire settlement by opening fireplace alongside the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri sector.

“Indian troops responded strongly to the enemy fire,” the spokesperson stated.

In the incident, Sepoy Rohin Kumar was critically injured and he later succumbed to his accidents, he added.

Kumar, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, was a courageous, extremely motivated and a honest soldier, the spokesperson stated.

He stated that the nation will at all times stay indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to responsibility.

Pakistan has been firing and shelling ahead areas alongside the LoC one to 2 instances a day in a number of sectors for nearly the previous one month.
