Kabul: Afghanistan on Saturday strongly condemned the kidnapping of its envoy Najib Alikhil’s daughter in Pakistan and referred to as upon Islamabad to determine and prosecute the perpetrators of the “heinous act” on the earliest.
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) acknowledged with “deep regret” that the daughter of the Afghan ambassador to Islamabad, Silsila Alikhil, was kidnapped for a number of hours on 16 July, 2021 and “severely tortured” by unknown people on her manner house.
The assertion stated that after being launched from the abductors’ captivity, Silsila is beneath medical care on the hospital.
The Afghan international ministry summoned Pakistani ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan in Kabul to lodge a robust protest over what it described as a “grave incident”.

The ministry referred to as on the Pakistan authorities to take “immediate action to identify and punish the perpetrators of this crime” and make sure the full safety of Afghan diplomats and their households in step with worldwide conventions.
“The MoFA strongly condemns this heinous act and expresses its deep concern over the safety and security of diplomats, their families, and staff members of the Afghan political and consular missions in Pakistan,” it stated.
“While the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following the matter with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, we urge the Pakistani government to identify and prosecute the perpetrators at the soonest possible time,” the assertion stated.
